Cambridge University Entrepreneurs (CUE) warmly invites you to join us for one of the most exciting events in Cambridge, CUE Grand Launch, where you can find out how to be a real entrepreneur and win from £100 to £5K as a bonus.

18 Oct 2010, 6:00 - 9:30pm

Department of Engineering, University of Cambridge

(VIP Registration starts at 5:30 pm)

Over the last 10 years, CUE has awarded more than half a million to over 400 teams who are now collectively worth £42m. The Grand Launch is particularly special since it marks the start of the second decade of the Entrepreneurs' Challenge. The event is free to attend and there will be food, drink and live music as well as the chance to meet potential team-mates for this year's Entrepreneurs' Challenge. Come along and find out what it takes to be a winner.

To kick start a new year of creativity and entrepreneurship, we are delighted to announce the speakers for this year's Grand Launch:

Dr Hermann Hauser

Serial Entrepreneur and Co-Founder, Amadeus Capital Partners

Dr Hauser is the most prominent figures of entrepreneurship in the UK and Europe. He received his PhD degree in Physics from the Cavendish Laboratory at King's College, Cambridge. He has helped four of the companies that he has worked with become billion dollar companies. In his long and successful history as an entrepreneur and venture capitalist, he has founded or co-founded companies in a wide range of technology sectors. These include Acorn Computers, Active Book Company, Virata, Net Products, NetChannel, and Cambridge Network Limited.

Billy Boyle

Co-founder of Owlstone Inc.

Billy is the co-founder of Owlstone, one of Cambridge's most successful spin-outs with perhaps the most legendary story of starting up a company. Owlstone was born when Billy and the other two co-founders, Andrew and David, were researching in the Department of Engineering of Cambridge University. They entered the Cambridge University Entrepreneurs £50K prize competition in 2004 and received the Runner up prize, marking the beginning of an adventure that has been ongoing for the past six years, winning multiple investments and grants of millions.

Find out how they did it and how you can be next. We will also be announcing how you can win £100 for 100 Words!
